The right to decide about one's own body should be self-evident. And yet, it is enshrined in law in very few countries in the world – not including Germany. Feminists have been fighting for reproductive rights, i.e., the right to reproductive health, sexual self-determination, contraception, and abortion, for more than a century, and now, with the rise of right-wing extremist movements, they are coming under even greater pressure.

In the third edition of “On Justice,” theorists, prominent activists, and legal experts from Eastern Europe and Germany illustrate the connections between misogyny, authoritarianism, and right-wing extremism and discuss current legal struggles for bodily and reproductive self-determination at the national and international levels.

Peggy Piesche is a German literary and cultural scholar. She works as a consultant for diversity, intersectionality, and decoloniality at the Federal Agency for Civic Education. She is considered one of the most prominent voices of Black women in Germany.

Ewa Majewska is a Polish philosopher, activist, and author. She has been actively involved in the anti-fascist and environmental movement and the women's and abortion rights movement in Poland. Her book "Feminist Antifascism: Counterpublics of the Common" was published by Verso in 2021.
Zorka Wollny is an interdisciplinary artist from Poland who will present her artistic project “Let’s Make Noise, Sisters!” from the Black protest movement in Poland.
